Community Wildfire Protection Plans (CWPPs) are a key tool for citizens to identify the level of wildfire hazard to their communities and prioritize mitigation actions that will provide for their safety and reduce wildfire loss potential.  CWPPs are conducted in the spirit of collaboration with local governments, the Colorado State Forest Service, fire protection districts, and federal cooperators.  Douglas County and its partners are in the process of developing a county-wide CWPP.
