City of Castle Pines

Incorporated Feb. 12, 2008, The City of Castle Pines is located just 20 miles south of Denver in Douglas County.   Home to approximately 10,000 people, the boundaries of Colorado’s newest city expanded by 3300 acres in October 2009 with the annexation of The Canyons development.

Our 21st century city has a focused vision that balances the preservation of our community’s history and natural surroundings with smart growth that enhances the quality of life for our citizens.

The City of Castle Pines is bordered on the west by Daniels Park, offering spectacular views of the front range from Pikes Peak to Mt. Evans to Longs Peak.  Equestrian, bike, and hiking trails are located within the area, as well as an historic site and the famed Cherokee Castle Ranch.   Our natural surroundings provide sightings of elk, deer, and coyotes on any given day.  Castle Pines is home to 4 elementary schools and several parks.  The public Ridge Golf Course and private Sanctuary Golf Course are accessible on and via Castle Pines Parkway.

CASTLE PINES ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL

The Castle Pines Economic Development Council is a nonprofit organization working in tandem with surrounding municipalities, Chambers of Commerce, and economic development organizations to enhance the City’s ability to attract viable economic development opportunities, recruit sustainable businesses, and to assist employment bases to locate within the trade area.

With the annexation into Castle Pines North of The Canyons 3300 acre development east of I-25 and the planned annexation of Lagae South located just south of our community, the City of Castle Pines North is fast becoming one of the last remarkable opportunities in Douglas County for economic development in a spectacular and unsurpassed setting and environment.
