- Location - 10% of the housing stock is in rural areas, 90% in urban areas. Within the urban areas, 44% is incorporated towns, 35% is Highlands Ranch, and 11% is in the Separated Urban Areas of The Pinery, Castle Pines Village, and Roxborough.
- Age - 43% of the housing stock was built since 2000. (43% is less than 10 years old.) 80% was built since 1990.
- Price – In the fourth quarter of 2010 Douglas County ranked fourth among six Metro Area counties for median cost per square foot at $140 per square foot.
