Documents to prove your Identity

For most services offered at this Express Driver's License Office, you must provide documentation of your full legal name, identity, age, and lawful presence in the United States.

Listed below are some of the acceptable documents:

• Valid or expired Colorado Driver's License
• Valid or expired Colorado ID Card
• Out-of-state Driver's License (valid or expired for less than one year)
• Out-of-state ID Card (valid or expired for less than one year)
• Social Security Card
• U.S. Birth Certificate (issued by a State of County)
• Valid military ID or Common Access Card
• Certification of Naturalization with a photo (20 years old or less)
• Certification of Citizenship with a photo (20 years old or less)
• Parent/Guardian affidavit if under 21 years of age
• Colorado Department of Corrections or Federal Bureau of Prisons ID card

Documents to prove your Address Address

In order to be in compliance with Real ID ACT, effective April 4, 2011, all applicants will now need one document to prove their residential address. A parent's proof of address indicated on license is acceptable for a minor child.

Listed below are some of the acceptable Real ID Act documents. Note that the document you provide must display your current address.

• Utility or phone bill
• Credit card or bank statement
• Mortgage document
• Pay stub or earnings statement
• Rent receipt
• Transcript or report card from an accredited driving school (must display home address)
• Tax document
• Homeowners/renter's insurance policy
• Vehicle registration receipt
