County Drivers License Offices Impacted by State Budget Shortfalls
Confirmed by the Colorado State Division of License Administration, all state drivers license offices, including the Parker and Castle Rock locations, will be impacted by State-required employee furlough days required by the Administration as a means to manage the State’s budget challenges.
Furlough days will be January 15, February 12, April 2, and May 28. . The Parker and Castle Rock offices will be closed, as well all Drivers License offices in the state, on these days.
These furlough days do not affect the County Motor Vehicle offices responsible for auto registration and license plates.

All Colorado residents can now take advantage of the services provided by the new Express Driver's License Office in Castle Rock.

When applying for a Colorado Driver's License or ID card, replacing a Driver's License or ID, Permit to License, and Out of State Transfer you must provide documentation that proves these four elements:
- Your full legal name
- Identity
- Age
- Lawful Presence in the United States
Listed below are some of the acceptable documents:
- Valid or expired Colorado Driver's License
- Valid or expired Colorado ID Card
- Out-of-state Driver's License (valid or expired for less than one year)
- Out-of-state ID Card (valid or expired for less than one year)
- Social Security Card
- U.S. Birth Certificate (issued by a State of County)
- Valid military ID or Common Access Card
- Certification of Naturalization with a photo (20 years old or less)
- Certification of Citizenship with a photo (20 years old or less)
- Parent/Guardian affidavit if under 21 years of age
- Colorado Department of Corrections or Federal Bureau of Prisons ID card
