The Community Planning and Sustainable Development Department uses the Douglas County Comprehensive Master Plan (CMP) to guide future growth and development within the County. The CMP is implemented through the Douglas County Subdivision Resolution to promote general health, safety and welfare, and ensure that the following services are available: adequate and efficient transportation, water, waste disposal, schools, fire and police protection, recreation and open space opportunities, and other services and facilities.
CPSD utilizes the following subdivision processes:
- Building envelope adjustments
- Final plats
- Lot line or easement adjustments
- Lot line or easement vacations
- Minor developments
- Preliminary plans
- Replats
- Sketch plans
Learn more about the above subdivision processes in our informational packets or visit the Douglas County Subdivision Resolution.
