Allis Ranch

The Allis property is 148 acres surrounded by the Greenland Ranch on the north, east and south. The property is adjacent to the Christensen Ranch on its northwestern corner. Pikes Peak, Spruce Mountain, the Rampart Range and Hunt Mountain are visible from the Allis property.

After one site visit on a beautiful summer day, the County’s Open Space Advisory Committee could not help but recommend the acquisition of this property for open space. The Allis property lies in the secondary viewshed along the South I-25 Conservation Corridor in southern Douglas County and provides wildlife habitat for inhabitants of grasslands, Gambel oak and ponderosa pine.

The Greenland Trail passes through this property.
