The 500-acre Lambert Ranch lies to the south of a State Wildlife Area (SWA) in northeast Douglas County. The land consists of rolling native grassland, remnants of an apple orchard and a variety of pine, cedar, spruce, and cottonwood trees and willows. A land developer donated the land to Douglas County as a homeowner association open space. To preserve wildlife habitat, there is no public access to the property.
