Economic Gardening is an innovative, entrepreneur-centered economic growth strategy providing small businesses with access to strategic information, connections to customers and connections to other businesses, using data and information sources to which small businesses might not otherwise have access. An alternative to the more traditional "economic hunting" model that builds the economy through recruiting businesses from elsewhere, Economic Gardening supports existing businesses in their efforts to succeed and expand. This program is available to all Douglas County businesses that are two years or older with 99 or fewer employees.
