Tour the Elections Office
How ballots become votes is something most people never think about, but it takes a small army of staff and judges to make it happen. If you’ve ever wondered how that happens, or if you’re curious how election judges make sure every vote is counted while ensuring an honest and fair election, contact us for a tour for yourself or your group.
A guided tour of the facility by a member of the election staff will answer your questions as well as provide information most people never think to ask.
The tour will show and explain how each ballot is prepared for the voter, returned to our office, verified, and processed by trained election judges representing all parts of our community.
You’ll also learn how each ballot is counted only after the polls are closed at 7:00 p.m., and how The Elections Office produces accurate results usually within 30 minutes.
Tours may be requested for Tuesdays and Thursdays, usually from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. based on appointment availability. Please send an email with your name, phone number, and information about yourself or your group to firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a tour.
