The Expert Technician Academy (ETA) is a collaborative effort between Douglas County, Douglas County School District, Arapahoe Community College (ACC) and Arapahoe/Douglas Works. This collaboration resulted in establishing a training center to teach students, both youth and adult learners, the technical skills required by emerging and existing industries. Industry partners for each training program provide expertise in developing and maintaining relevant curricula, equipment donations, internships and/or job placements upon successful completion of the training programs.

The Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (REEE) programs at the ETA offer training in areas such as: Home Energy Analyst, Solar Panel Installation, Solar Thermal Installation, Land Environment and Economic Development (LEED) Certification, Energy Project Management and Energy Accounting. Colorado is uniquely positioned for advancing renewable energy and energy efficiency research and development at the State's national labs and universities. Colorado is poised to leverage these institutions along with the state's 122 gigawatts of potential wind and solar energy resources, to bring clean energy and good jobs statewide. The REEE training programs will create a pipeline of highly-trained and work-ready employees for these local jobs.

Please check back for information on future classes. For more information, visit the ETA website.
