Free Admission to all State Parks for veterans and active-duty military for the month of August

Thank you for your service! - courtesy of the Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW)

Veterans and active-duty military personnel (including active-duty Reserve and National Guard members) can obtain a military hang-tag pass valid for free admission to Colorado State Parks during the month of August.  Show the CPW staff one of the following:

  • Active or retired military identification
  • DD Form 2
  • DD Form 2765
  • DD 214
  • Veterans Affairs medical card
  • Current CO driver’s license with the veterans seal printed on it

Pick up your August Military Pass
Any CPW office and/or State Park office can issue the hang tag.  All other applicable fees (i.e. camping and fishing) still apply.

Additional Military Benefits

  • Each Nov. 11, Veterans Day, veterans and military members also receive free admission to all State Parks.
  • A vehicle displaying a disabled veteran license plate receives year-round free entry to all State Parks.
