The Castle Rock Museum is located in downtown Castle Rock at 420 Elbert Street. It is open to visitors Wednesday through Friday from noon to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Larkspur Historical Society
The Larkspur Historical Society was incorporated in 1990. Their area of interest includes Southern Douglas County, Colorado, including the areas of Larkspur, Greenland, Perry Park, Spring Valley, and Cherry Valley. Currently, they have 14 site survey books, all located in the Philip S. Miller Library Local History Collection in Castle Rock, Colorado.

Town of Castle Rock Historic Preservation Board
Founded in 1874, the Town of Castle Rock possesses a unique architectural identity that contributes to its appearance. Early events and industries influenced the homes and buildings constructed here. Settlement in the area began in the 1860s and was shaped by agriculture and ranching.
