The Division of Adult Services provides program services to assist individuals and families in leading active, healthy and sustainable lives in a safe environment. Programs within the Division include:
- Individual and Family Assistance to individuals and families who are qualified and eligible to receive financial assistance and health care benefits. Programs include:
- Aid to the Needy Disabled (AND).
- Colorado Works – Temporary Aid to Needy Families (TANF).
- Child Care Assistance.
- Food Stamps.
- Long-Term Care.
- Medicaid for Pregnant Women.
- Medicaid for Children.
- Low-Income Energy Assistance (LEAP).
- Medicare Savings Plans.
- Old Age Pension (OAP Financial and Medical).
- Veterans Services are a resource for veterans and their families when they need to access information about veterans services and benefits. The staff also provides assistance in applying for services and benefits.
- Individuals with Developmental Disabilities are provided with services and supports that focus on the varied needs of adults with developmental disabilities.
- Information and Assistance to older adults, individuals with disabilities and assistance to these populations to help them remain as independent as possible in the least restrictive environment.
- The Neighbor Network Program provides volunteer support and opportunities for volunteers to assist County residents in remaining safe and active in their home.
- Adult Protection Services are provided to at-risk adults, age 18 and older who, due to age or disability, are unable to protect themselves and have no one to advocate on their behalf. The Adult Protection program deals with reports of abuse – physical, psychological, emotional or sexual; neglect – caregiver or self-neglect; and financial exploitation.
