If you have received a Notice of a Claim or Recovery Payment Due, it is because you have received benefits for which you are not eligible. If you do not understand why you received the notice, please contact your Eligibility Specialist immediately. In some cases, unpaid claims may result in tax intercepts, so please don't ignore this type of notice.

You may pay the claim or recovery using one of the following methods:

1. Mail a check or money order
   • Write the case number and claim number on your check or money order
   • Return the signed repayment agreement if you have not already returned it
2. Make payment in person with check, money order or cash
   • Write the case number and claim number on your check or money order
   • Return the signed repayment agreement if you have not already returned it
3. Contact your Eligibility Specialist (in person or by phone) and provide authorization for payment to be pulled off of your EBT card
   • There must be a current balance on the EBT card or your case must still be open with future benefits still being applied
   • We can only take benefits off of an EBT card for the same program type; for example we can only repay a food assistance claim with current or future food assistance benefits
4. Make an online payment using a credit or debit by visiting:

   https://www.colorado.gov/payment/dougco/humanservices

   • A processing fee will be added to this transaction and is based on the total payment
   • Instructions on how to use the Douglas County Human Services Payport Online Service
