Digital data CD available for purchase
A CD of Douglas County's most popular GIS data layers can now be purchased at the reasonable price of $250. The data, which is in Environmental Systems Research Institute's (ESRI's) shapefile format, is updated on the first business day of the month.

Minimum of one mile with half-mile increments ($30 half mile). Round to the full square mile or half mile. TIFF or JPEG format.
Contour lines were derived from elevation points generated from the 1996 Orthophotography. Tiles are approximately 0.8 square miles in size. The data supports 5 foot or larger contour intervals.

Data Requests / Placing An Order:
It is the goal of the GIS Division to provide high quality products and timely service, but it should be understood that turn around times on public requests are based upon current project demands and available staff (minimum of 5 business days). Price list effective as of January 2011 and subject to change without notice. If you have any question about data and custom data services please call the Douglas County GIS Division at (303) 660.7416.
To request digital data, print the Data Usage Agreement and a completed Data Order Form, then.....

The Agreement must be signed for all digital data, imagery, and graphics files. Please make note of the section requiring the name of the person requesting the data if it differs from the authorizing signature we reserve the right to refuse your request. Our digital data CD is available for purchase with cash or check at our office - checks are to be written out to "Douglas County Government."
Fees will be waived for data requested by a contractor that is hired by a Douglas County Government department or a Douglas County jurisdiction working under the auspices of Douglas County - A completed Data Usage Agreement will still be required.
We do not accept Credit/Debit Card Payments at this time.
A minimum of 5 business days will be required to complete a map or data purchase request.
The projected coordinate system of all Douglas County GIS data is State Plane, Colorado Central Zone FIPS 0502, NAD 83 Datum, Units: Feet
Data Pickup or Delivery
There are three methods of obtaining Douglas County Custom GIS/Digital Data products:
1) FTP Delivery (FREE of additional charge): Upon completion of your data request we can make the product available for download from our secure FTP server. The data and/or maps uploaded to our FTP server will remain available for 72 hours.
2) Pickup in person (an additional cost of $5.00 to cover expense of DVD or CD media will be charged):

3) Mail Delivery (an additional cost of $10.00 to cover media and postage expenses will be charged): Items will require a $10 fee for standard mail via the US Post Office, OR we also support delivery via UPS / FedEx / DHL shipping if you have an existing account number that we can bill it to.
