Our Mission
The End User/Desktop Support Division is known as the “face of IT” to employees and residents of Douglas County. This group is responsible for recommending standards for, and maintaining, all County desktop technology equipment including: desktop PC’s, laptops, printers, scanners, and plotters.
The IT Support Desk:
- Maintains an incident tracking system that averages 60 calls per day from end users.
- Supports over 1000 employees
- Supports 300+ applications
- Supports 1000+ PCs
- Supports 250+ printers/plotters
- Is responsible for the end-user equipment replacement program
- Sets standards for desktop technology equipment and peripherals for the County
- Repairs equipment, helping to reduce the cost of out-sourcing repairs
- Recommends and deploys all software and security to County computers
- Is on-call 24 hours per day, 7 days a week
