Description:
Bridle belonging to Gen. John Chase and donated with McClellan saddle. Headstall has BRIG. GENL. JOHN CHASE stamped. It has two cheek pieces fastened to the headstall, the throatlatch has two (2) buckles. The browband across the forehead connects to the headstall with large brass roseattes. The nose strap has one brass buckle. The bit is brass with four (4) brass rings for rein attachment. The reins connect with a brass buckle. The chin strap is a brass chain with many links interlocked.
