March 18 Symposium addresses issues with non-native weeds

Noxious weeds are a part of the Colorado landscape, but how do you control them to protect the land they infest, preserve native plants, turf and agricultural crops?

Learn more about the different types of noxious weeds, proper herbicide application techniques and the safe use of pesticides at the County’s Noxious Weed Symposium March 18, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. at the Douglas County Event Center, 500 Fairgrounds Drive in Castle Rock.

Please call 303-660-7480 to RSVP as space is limited. Early bird registration costs $12 and closes March 13. The cost at the door will be $15 if seats remain. Lunch is included.

Specialists from Colorado State University Extension, National Resources Conservation Service, CO Dept. of Agriculture, VM Field Sales, DOW Agro Sciences and Douglas County will speak on a variety of topics.  Local vendors will be present, offering products and services to help stop the spread of noxious weeds.
