General Information:
The five mile loop trail on Dawson Butte Open Space travels through mostly forested areas with open meadows and views of the Front Range Mountains. The trail follows gently rolling terrain and an optional bridle paths include over 60 horse jumps. There is no access to the top of the butte. There are handicapped accessible picnic tables and an overlook trail.

Respect Wildlife - elk, bears, mountain lions, and many other wildlife species call this land home.

Trail Length:
5 mile loop

Uses:
Hiking; horse back riding; mountain biking; snowshoeing; and no motorized vehicles. Pets are allowed on leashes. No motorized vehicles.

Location:
1923 Tomah Road, Castle Rock. From I-25, take the Plum Creek Parkway exit west and head south five miles on the frontage road; turn right/west at Tomah Road; follow 1.5 miles to the Dawson Butte Ranch entrance on the right.
