High Line Canal Trail
Highlights:
Old cottonwood trees highlight this level trail that parallels the historic,
66- mile Highline Canal. Wildlife viewing, parks, and scenic vistas add
to this pleasant trail.

Trail Length:
Douglas County manages the western eight miles of the trail; there is a disconnect
in the trail before it continues along on the east side of Plum Creek,
adjacent to railroad tracks, crosses Santa Fe and then winds through the
NW corner of Highlands Ranch. In all, 60 miles are accessible by trail

Natural Surface Trail in Douglas County and South Suburban; hardened surfaces
through Denver and Aurora
Uses:
Multi-use: horses, hiking, strollers, bicycles; dogs must be on leash

Parking at Waterton Canyon, at the south Platte River and Wadsworth; Roxborough
Park Road, 1.4 miles north of Titan Road; County Line Road, ½ mile
east of Lucent Blvd., on the south side.
