E-470 speed limits are reduced from 75 mph to 65 mph along the eight miles between Parker Road and Quincy Avenue during construction
UPCOMING WORK – Week of August 27, 2017
- Project-wide paving operations will remain ongoing into September. Unless otherwise noted, expect single lane restrictions from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays and on weekends from 6 a.m. on Saturday to 8 p.m. on Sunday, with one lane remaining open at all times. Signage and additional traffic control officers will be in place to guide the traveling public. Be prepared to yield and stop at on-ramps during weekend paving work. Thank you for your patience as this work proceeds.
- Southbound Parker Road under E-470 will be closed from 9 p.m.-5 a.m. Wednesday, August 29 and Thursday, August 30 for median work. Detours will be in place. Expect nightly single and double lane closures along Parker Road over the next couple of weeks.
- A new traffic alignment on northbound E-470 along the bridge over Cherry Creek is in place as of August 23. This alignment will remain in effect until asphalt work is completed. The permanent alignment for this section of roadway is expected to be in place through mid-September.
- Parker Road on-ramps to southbound E-470 will be closed over the two weekends following Labor Day. The Northbound Parker Road on-ramp to southbound E-470 will be closed 9 p.m. Friday, September 8 to 5 a.m. Monday, September 11. The Southbound Parker Road on-ramp to southbound E-470 will be closed 9 p.m. Friday, September 15 to 5 a.m. Monday, September 18. Detours will be in place and can be viewed here.
