Below are a list of projects that Parks, Trails, and Building Grounds are currently working on or will be working on in the near future. Projects are listed according to their completion date, with the earliest completion date listed first.

East/West Regional Trail

Project Summary: Resurfacing of 1.2 miles of soft surface trail (Griggs Trailhead west)
Estimated cost:  $125,000 – Conservation Trust Fund
Estimated completion date:  June 2012

Bluffs Regional Park

Project Summary: Resurfacing switchbacks of soft surface trails with stalock material
Estimated cost:  $25,000 – Conservation Trust Fund
Estimated completion date:  June 2012

Bayou Gulch Regional Park

Project Summary: Parking lot asphalt maintenance on the active side of the park
Estimated cost:  $105,000 – Parks Sales and Use Tax Fund
Estimated completion date: July 2012

Fairgrounds Regional Park

Project Summary: Electrical conduits for fields #1 and #2
Estimated cost:  $100,000 – Conservation Trust Fund
Estimated completion date: July 2012

Highland Heritage Regional Park

Project Summary: Add an entrance road sidewalk and crosswalk to the park along Quebec Street going into the park adjacent to the Post Office

Challenger Regional Park

Project Summary: Two playground ADA transfer point improvements
Estimated cost:  $75,000 – Sales and Use Tax Fund
Estimated completion date: October 2012

Project Summary: Install a video camera system to view the exterior of the restroom and concession building due to the amount of vandalism to the structure that continues to take place. 
Estimated cost: Douglas County Facilities will be providing this system at no cost.
