Bluffs Regional Trail
Bluffs Regional Park has 253 acres with views of Colorado Front Range mountains, the Denver Metro Area and grassland vegetation and wildlife. There are connections to Highlands Ranch trails and future connections with the East-West Trail.
Cherry Creek Regional Trail
Parallels Cherry Creek and will eventually connect Cherry Creek State Park to the north and Castlewood Canyon State Park to the south. Connects parks and open space properties, as well as Parker, Centennial and Franktown. This trail is a part of the Colorado Front Range Trail. Trail goes through cottonwoods, willows and grasslands along neighborhoods, nearby commercial areas, and through parks and open space by Cherry Creek.
City Of Lone Tree Trail System
This trail system includes a C-470 trail, Bluffs Regional Park and connections to Highlands Ranch; other trails and connections to be planned with development process. East-West Trail is planned to go through the southern area of Lone Tree. Wildcat Trail is located in Highlands Ranch, but is very close to Lone Tree’s western border from Altair Park ½ mile south of C-470 to McArthur Ranch area.

Columbine Open Space Trail
Columbine Open Space is protected for its important wetlands along Plum Creek, pine forest and Gambel oak habitat. The trails are comprised of two loops that follow through the upper grasslands and shrublands. The old red barn and rock springhouse are on this property.
Dawson Butte Open Space Trail
The five mile loop trail on Dawson Butte Open Space travels through mostly forested areas with open meadows and views of the Front Range Mountains. The trail follows gently rolling terrain and an optional bridal paths include over 60 horse jumps. There is no access to the top of the butte.
East/West Regional Trail
This is the first leg of the East-West Regional Trail that will connect Chatfield State Park with the Town of Parker. The trail winds through grasslands and oak bluffs including thousands of acres of the Open Space Conservation Area.
Glendale Open Space Trail
Adjacent to I-25, the 160-acre property has native chokecherry and wild plum shrubs along an intermittent stream. The trail winds up into Gambel oak shrubland and onto a grassland plain with views of Pikes Peak and the Colorado Front Range. The trail skirts rocky caprock on the northern spur. A five-acre off-leash dog area is west of the main trailhead.
Greenland Open Space Trail
Part of the Colorado Front Range Trail, the lower trail joins into the Old Territorial Road, connecting the old Greenland Townsite to Palmer Lake. The trail is within more than 3,000 acres of Greenland Open Space. The trail passes through native grasslands, by ponds, through rolling Gambel oak hills and skirts ponderosa pine forests. Great views of Greenland open space, buttes and Pikes Peak.
Hidden Mesa
Douglas County manages and owns the 642 acres of land north of Hwy.86. This adjoins 582 acres of open space one mile north of Franktown, previously referred to as "The Grange" (not to be confused with the Pikes Peak Grange building.)This combined 1224-acre parcel is now referred to as Hidden Mesa Open Space.
High Line Canal Regional Trail
Old cottonwood trees highlight this level trail that parallels the historic, 66-mile High Line Canal. Wildlife viewing, parks and scenic vistas add to this pleasant trail.
Highlands Ranch Trail System
Trails connect parks, subdivisions, schools, open space and commercial areas. Wildlife may be seen along many of the trails that pass through open space areas and by wetlands.
Pinery Access Trail
This 4-mile trail leads users through rolling terrain and connects them to the Cherry Creek Regional Trail.
Ringtail Trail
The 3.5-mile Ringtail Trail begins on Nelson Open Space, off of Swallowtail Trail. Ringtail Trail climbs into the 308-acre Pike Hill Open Space, gaining elevation and entering Pike National Forest where it continues for an additional 2.8 miles until linking with the Pike National Forest’s Indian Creek Trail. The Indian Creek Trailhead and campground is an additional 1.6 miles south of this connection. For more information on Pike National Forest, please call 719.553.1400.
Sharptail Ridge Open Space Trail
This open space designation protects the scenic viewshed and wildlife habitat of the land east of Roxborough State Park. The 4-mile Sharptail Trail crosses rolling grasslands and is home to a variety of wildlife including elk herds. This trail will have seasonal closures in the fall to allow for hunting as regulated by the Colorado Division of Wildlife.
Spruce Meadows Trail
Spruce Meadows Trail winds through grassy meadows between Greenland Open Space and Spruce Mountain. The trail has been cut through undulating fields of grasses and wildflowers. Enjoy views of surrounding buttes, Pikes Peak, Spruce Mountain and the Rampart Range, as well as Carpenter Creek and thousands of acres of protected open space. The trail crosses over (or under) Spruce Mountain Road twice at marked crossings, and crosses over Noe Road twice before looping back to the parking area.
Spruce Mountain
Spruce Mountain is a large, tree-covered mesa that is visible from Interstate I-25, Spruce Mountain Road, County Line Road, and Highway 105. The property contains scrub oak, ponderosa pine forest, wet meadows, and rocky cliffs.

Swallowtail Trail
The Swallowtail Trail begins on Nelson Open Space, 100 yards from the end of Sharptail Trail through State Park land. Swallowtail Trail makes two loops totaling approximately 3.5 miles in length with striking red rocks and a unique geological perspective of the hogback. As the trail winds through Nelson Open Space, it connects with the Ringtail Trail.
Town of Castle Rock Trail System
Trails along Plum Creek and Seller's Gulch, Fairgrounds Regional Park, Rock Park, Open Space, schools and within some subdivisions. There are great views from Rock Park trail.
Town of Parker Trail System
Links to subdivisions, recreation center, Cherry Creek Trail, schools, parks and commercial areas.
