Douglas County Transect
Below are two versions of the Douglas County transect.
The transect has seven zones, moving from the rural feel of the Open Space zone to the more dense development found in the Urban Core zone. These zones, as shown on the transect, are meant to demonstrate the typical development patterns found in Douglas County today. The Open Space zone is characteristic of large tracts of land preserved as open space, such as Dawson Butte. On the other hand, the Urban Core zone is meant to depict the type of development found at the Lincoln Light Rail Station in the northern portion of the County. The zones found between these two extremes show different levels of development in the County; from Agricultural to Large Rural Residential, Rural Residential, Estate Residential, and Suburban Residential, to finally, Urban.
The transect is an educational tool and two versions - a plan view transect and a photographic transect - are provided to help people relate to the different types of development in the County that are depicted in each of the zones.

Presubmittal Process
Presubmittal reviews are a preliminary review done to identify the correct development review process and to identify any potential issues that may come up during application review. It is required to have a pre-submittal review before making a formal submittal or application. The pre-submittal review is free and does not require formal exhibits.
