Sustainability Initative Advisory Committee
On November 20, 2009, Douglas J. DeBord, County Manager, appointed ten Douglas County residents and business owners to the Sustainability Initiative Advisory Committee (SIAC).
The SIAC was charged with:
- Gathering public input through a listening and recruiting tour
- Recruiting fellow residents and business owners who would like to remain engaged in future sustainability-related activities and programs
- Developing a vision statement describing what a sustainable Douglas County looks like
- Developing a series of objectives that support and help bring about the vision
- Meeting semi-annually or quarterly with the Sustainability Working Group (Working Group) and providing feedback and suggestions regarding the programs and collaborative efforts proposed by the Working Group.
For more information regarding the SIAC, please contact Public Outreach Planner Dan Dertz at 303-660-7460.
