If you need to check the foreclosure status on numerous properties for a short time period, we recommend that you come into the Public Trustee's Office and use the free public terminal.
Upcoming Changes to the Public Trustee’s Website
Douglas County is developing a free web service for Quick Foreclosure Lookup that will be available to the public by the first quarter of 2010. This new service will provide a simple, user-friendly method to verify the foreclosure status of any property within Douglas County. Information about the property will include those items most requested by residents including the current sale date and the name of the new owner after the sale.
What do I get when I subscribe to the Foreclosure Search Website?
If you need to track many foreclosures on a regular basis for long periods of time, we recommend our subscription service. Not only do you get live individual foreclosure data from the convenience of your home or office, you also get new foreclosure reports, current sale reports and optional access to recorded documents stored in the Douglas County Clerk and Recorder's database.
The Foreclosure Search website provides access to information dating back to 2005, and offers many search/filter capabilities. The Public Trustee's office holds a user group meeting once a year and solicits feedback from subscribers for improving website service.
If you would like to become a subscriber and obtain a password, please download the user agreement and return it to the Public Trustee with your check for $105.00 per quarter or $300.00 for a full year. For an additional $50 per year, you may add a subscription to view recorded document images. You will receive a password via e-mail within five (5) business days upon receipt of your completed user agreement and fee. I
