On August 7, 2007 the Douglas County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution establishing the Sedalia Overlay District Study Committee.
The resolution charges the Committee with:
- Conducting the visioning process identified in the above purpose statement.
- Providing advice and assistance to County staff and a specialized consultant in the development of the overlay zone district identified in the above purpose statement.
- Completing its tasks within 12 months.
The resolution directs the hiring of a specialized consultant who will work with County staff and the Committee to:
- Facilitate the visioning process.
- Develop the overlay zone district regulations.
- Create a financial plan to accomplish the community’s vision and implement the overlay district.
