In 2008, Douglas County staff began development of a comprehensive Bicycle Plan, combining off street trails with new on street bike lanes, and the plan was implemented in 2009. Both the on and off street bicycle facilities are shown on the Douglas County Bicycle Maps. Please see the Douglas County Bicycling Map and the North West Douglas County Bicycling Map for further reference (print on 8 1/2 X 14 or larger paper and/or zoom to a specific bike trail section for viewing purposes).

The bike plan and maps will be updated annually. Printed copies of the map are available at no cost at various locations in Douglas County (i.e. Engineering Services Division, Parks & Trails, & Traffic Departments).
