Make checks payable to the Douglas County Treasurer for the exact amount owed. Checks must be drawn on a United States Bank and payable in US dollars. Please be aware that your check may be converted to a one-time electronic payment and your checking account could be debited as soon as the same day we receive your payment.

Payments may be dropped off directly with the Treasurer's Office at the street address listed above between the hours of 8am to 5pm. Refer to the contact information on the left side of this page for driving directions.

Drop Boxes

  • Phillip S. Miller Building - Drive-up tax payment box at the northwest curb in front of the Phillip S. Miller Building, 100 Third Street in Castle Rock.  
  • Highlands Ranch Motor Vehicle Office - Drop box located INSIDE the Motor Vehicle Office at 2223 Wildcat Reserve Parkway, G-1 (main intersection is Highlands Ranch Parkway and Wildcat Reserve). Office hours are Monday -Friday, 7am - 5:30pm
  • Parker Motor Vehicle Office - Drop box located INSIDE the Motor Vehicle Office at 16522 Keystone Blvd, Suite F (main intersection is Keystone and Lincoln) Office hours are Monday - Friday, 7am - 5:30pm

Tax payments are collected from the drop boxes at the end of each business day. For end of year pre-payments, office policy requires that the payments must be in the Treasurer’s Office on the last business day of the year.
