  • The advertising list will be available on the Treasurer's website.
  • Pre-registration is highly recommended - it will save both the Treasurer's staff and the buyer time on the morning of the sale. In order to pre-register, the buyer will need to fill out a pre-registration form and send it to this office prior to the sale. Click here for a printable Pre-registration form [pdf 108KB] or one can be obtained from the Treasurer's office upon request.
  • The IRS. now requires all County Treasurers to report income earned through tax lien investments. Therefore, W-9 forms [pdf 36KB] will be available at the tax sale and should be completed fully before investors bid.
  • Property tax liens to be sold at sale are advertised four weeks prior to the sale.
  • Property tax liens are advertised once a week for three consecutive weeks. The delinquent properties will be sold in the order advertised.
  • Advertisement is made in a general circulation newspaper in Douglas County.
  • Updated advertising lists will be posted on our website.
