Below are links to unclaimed funds being held by the Douglas County Office of the Treasurer, Department of Finance and Office of the Public Trustee.

Office of the Treasurer unclaimed funds represent checks, which have not been redeemed, issued for overpayments on property taxes and funds previously held by the Douglas County Office of the Public Trustee for overages on foreclosed property sales. The Department of Finance’s unredeemed checks are for payments to vendors of the County.

Douglas County has made several attempts to locate the rightful owners of these funds. If you wish to claim any of these funds, the contact information is available at the top of each report. Proof of claim will be required.

After a period of 5 years, and in compliance with Colorado State Statute, the Treasurer property tax overpayments and Finance vendor payments are turned over to the Great Colorado Payback. For more information visit the Great Colorado Payback website. After a period of 5 years, and in compliance with Colorado State Statute, Treasurer overages on foreclosed property sales are retained in the County's General Fund.
