NOTE: THE STATE OF COLORADO IS NOT AUTHORIZING PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX REFUNDS AT THIS TIME.
The State of Colorado implemented a Personal Property Tax Refund program which may, in times of excess revenues, provide business Personal Property taxpayers with a refund of up to $700, and a percentage of any personal property tax beyond $700 paid.
To qualify for the full amount of refund, each Personal Property taxpayer must be certain to include their Federal Employee Identification Number (FEIN) or Social Security Number on their annual Personal Property Declaration. This declaration form is mailed to every personal property taxpayer each year, and must be returned to the Assessor by April 15. Additionally, the tax must be paid to the Office of the County Treasurer on or before June 15 of each year to qualify for the refund.
For additional information on the rebate program, visit the Colorado Department of Revenue.
