With a focus on clarifying the County’s water review process, reducing ambiguity during the land use review process, and encouraging use of renewable water, Douglas County invites public comment at a workshop on Monday, November 14, 4 p.m., in the Board of Douglas County Commissioner’s hearing room, 100 Third Street, Castle Rock.
This workshop will provide a forum for public comment on significant, proposed changes to Douglas County Zoning Resolution Section 18A, the Water Supply Overlay District, and a newly-proposed Douglas County Zoning Resolution Section 18B that encourages the use of renewable or conjunctive use water supplies for new development and includes a process to propose a lower water demand standard based upon further submittal requirements.
For a summary of proposed amendments, as well as the proposed revisions available for public comment until November 23, 2016 visit www.douglas.co.us/land/regulations-and-procedures/zoning/proposed-amendments-zoning-resolution/
