In observance of the Presidents Day holiday, all Douglas County Government offices will be closed and the Link On Demand rideshare service will be unavailable on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026. Link On Demand and County offices will reopen on Tuesday, Feb. 17, for normal business. Many County services are available 24/7 by visiting online services.
Due to a statewide DMV upgrade, all online driver license, motor vehicle, and MVExpress kiosk services will be unavailable beginning the evening of Friday, Feb. 13, until the system re-launches on Tuesday, Feb. 17. Douglas County Motor Vehicle offices will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 17, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for system testing.

Are you a business owner in Douglas County who owns or leases business personal property in Colorado? If so, and the value of these assets is greater than $56,000, state law requires you to report the property to the County Assessor. The deadline is Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
Thousands of Douglas County businesses will receive a 2026 Business Personal Property Declaration Notice in the mail, instructing them how to view, download and print an asset listing, as well as how to file the full declaration online at DouglasFilesOnline.org
Taxable personal property includes residential household furnishings used to produce income; equipment, furniture, and machinery used in commercial, industrial, and natural resource operations; expensed assets with a useful life of more than one year; fully depreciated assets that are still in use; personal property in storage that is subject to IRS depreciation; and leasehold improvements such as built in counters or special flooring.
