Diane Holbert appointed Douglas County Commissioner, District I, by Vacancy Committee

Holbert to fill Commissioner seat vacancy, created by the recent resignation of Commmissioner David Weaver.  

Former Douglas County Treasurer, Diane Holbert, was appointed by the Douglas County Republican Party Vacancy Committee on Monday, April 9, 2018 to serve the remaining term of former Douglas County Commissioner David Weaver.

Weaver vacated his Commissioner position effective April 1, approximately eight months before the conclusion of his first full term, to accept the Presidential appointment of United States Marshal for the District of Colorado.

Following her appointment, she immediately vacated her role as Treasurer, and then received the Oath of Office as Commissioner.

Douglas County’s three-member Board of County Commissioners is the main policy-making body in the County and works to represent the interests of the citizens of Douglas County at local, state, and national levels.
