Douglas County’s free regional rideshare service, Link On Demand, is now officially serving Stonegate and select areas of Parker following a successful launch event held on Wednesday, April 8, at O’Brien Park.
Local leaders, partners and community members gathered to celebrate the expansion, which brings a new mobility option to thousands of residents and expands coverage for existing riders.
“We’re excited to build on a program that has brought greater independence to our residents, especially older adults,” said Douglas County Commissioner George Teal. “After thousands of trips and strong reviews, Stonegate and Parker residents can now benefit from a service their neighbors already trust.”
“On behalf of the Town of Parker, I’d like to welcome Link On Demand to our community,” Parker Mayor Joshua Rivero said. “This innovative service expands transportation options for our residents, making it easier to connect to jobs, services and each other. It’s an exciting step forward in improving mobility and enhancing the quality of life in our town.”
Since its launch in Highlands Ranch last year, Link On Demand has provided more than 95,000 rides in Highlands Ranch alone and has earned a consistent 4.9 out of 5‑star rider rating.
“With Parker now live, even more residents have a safe, free transportation option that can help them get to work, to their appointments and out shopping,” said Commissioner Kevin Van Winkle. “Investing in Link increases our already high quality of life in Douglas County.”
“The City of Lone Tree is thrilled to see the continued expansion of the Link On Demand service into Parker,” said Lone Tree Mayor Marissa Harmon. “As a City that’s seen firsthand the benefits of Link On Demand when we founded the service nearly 10 years ago, this expansion reflects the strong regional collaboration in Douglas County and our shared commitment to innovative, accessible and mobility transportation solutions for all of our citizens.”
At their Feb. 24 Business Meeting, the Board of Douglas County Commissioners approved a $4.4 million contract to continue service in Lone Tree and Highlands Ranch and to fund the new expansion into Stonegate and parts of Parker, supported in part by a $250,000 contribution from the Town of Parker. County funding comes from the Road and Bridge Sales and Use Tax allocations for Transit and Mobility projects.
“Thank you to our partners in Parker, Lone Tree and at Via—your teamwork made this expansion milestone possible, and it won’t be our last. We’re looking forward to bringing Link On Demand to even more communities across the County soon,” said Commissioner Abe Laydon.
To start using the service, riders simply download the Link On Demand app, create an account, enter their pickup and drop-off location, and wait for a driver to arrive—usually within minutes. Or call 719-212-2430 to schedule a ride. The service operates across Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Stonegate and select areas of Parker. Riders can start and end their journeys anywhere within the service area.
