Douglas County Veterans Day Tribute Livestream, Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020

What are you doing for Veterans Day to honor those who have served in all branches of the military?

The Douglas County Veterans Service Office in conjunction with the Douglas County Veterans Monument Foundation will conduct a Veterans Day Tribute on Saturday, November 7, beginning at 11 a.m. For the protection of our Veterans and citizens, we invite you to join us via livestream on the County’s Youtube and Facebook pages as we honor all veterans – past and present.

The program will feature a special remembrance and the unveiling of the Space Force medallion and flag at the Veterans Monument followed by a keynote address from Colonel Casey M. Beard, Space Delta 9 Commander. See a flyer and program.

Sponsor a wreath now for a Wreaths Across America (WAA) Ceremony on Dec. 19

A wreath-laying ceremony to honor veterans will be held on Dec. 19 at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Castle Rock.  Wreaths Across America coordinates ceremonies in all 50 states and beyond.

The ceremony at Cedar Hill is at 10 a.m. and is being organized by American Heritage Girls Troop 8909 – sponsor a wreath using this form. Volunteers to participate in the wreath-laying are welcome.
