Description:
The plate is a vintage, rectangular, clear glass snack tray with two small divisions; one is meant to hold a cup and the other to be utilized as an ash tray. The pattern within the pressed glass is known as the Arlington diamond and square pattern, appearing on the bottom of the tray. The sides curve upward and are ribbed. The tray handles composed of five oblong, rounded segments fused together.

The plate was manufactured sometime in the 50's by the Anchor Hocking Glass Company whose expansion at the time included the purchase of Baltimore, Maryland based Carr—Lowry Glass Company and the west coast Maywood Glass. In the 1950s, the corporation established the Research and Development Center in Lancaster, Ohio, purchased the Tropical Glass and Container Company in Jacksonville, Florida, and built a new facility in San Leandro, California in 1959. It is not known which facility manufactured this plate.
