The Veterans Service Officer is a part-time, 12 to 16 hours per week position, serving the specific hours of Monday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesday morning from  9 a.m. to Noon. The Officer, appointed to a two-year term by the Board of Douglas County Commissioners, is responsible for a variety of duties in support of the Office of Veterans Affairs, including working with our clients, assisting with the preparation of applications and enrollments for VA benefits and services, and administrative support of office operations. Officers are a resident of Colorado and have served in any branch of the U.S. Armed Services and honorably discharged.
