2022 Traffic Signal Projects

Anticipated Modified Intersection Improvements projects in 2022 include:

  • Peoria St & Liberty Blvd (Developer) – Intersection modifications in process with an anticipated completion of spring 2022.
  • Peoria St & Belford Ave (Developer) – Construction underway – a temporary traffic signal was placed in late summer 2021 with an anticipated completion of spring 2022.
  • Broadway & Plaza Dr (Rebuild) – Rebuilding of existing signalized intersection to include concrete rehabilitation with an anticipated start date of summer 2022.
  • Meridian Blvd & Havana St (Rebuild) – Rebuilding of existing signalized intersection including new alignment and concrete rehabilitation with an anticipated start date of summer 2022.
  • Meridian Blvd & Maroon Cir (Rebuild) – Rebuilding of existing signalized intersection including concrete rehabilitation with an anticipated start date of summer 2022.

New Traffic Signals for 2022

  • Jamaica St & Inverness Pkwy – (Developer) Construction is underway with anticipated activation in spring 2022.
  • US 85 & Daniels Park Rd (CDOT Signal) – Temporary Span Wire in design. Construction is anticipated to begin in summer 2022.
  • County Line Rd & S. Clarkson St. – Temporary Span Wire design eliminated. Traffic Signal construction is anticipated in 2023.
  • Fairview Pkwy & Grace Blvd – Traffic Signal in design. Construction is anticipated to begin in fall 2022.

Completed Traffic Signal Projects

  • County Line Rd & Quebec St Intersection Improvements
  • Waterton Rd & Rampart Rd (Developer)

New traffic signal construction projects started in 2021 will be completed in 2022. Additionally, one temporary span wire signal project identified for 2021, has been eliminated with plans for a full mast arm signalized intersection tentatively identified for construction in 2023 (County Line Rd & Clarkson St). Flashing Yellow Arrow (FYA) implementations continue to be rolled out where conditions warrant these operations.
