2019 electronics Recycling Event

250,000 lbs of electronic waste was collected at the 2019 Douglas County Community Recycling Event.

Do you have old electronics taking up space in your basement or garage? Douglas County is sponsoring three community electronics recycling events this summer — come on down and recycle your items for free.

The first two events will take place from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Castle Rock on Wednesday, June 17 and Wednesday, July 15. Your final opportunity to recycle old electronics is Saturday, Aug. 8 from 9 a.m – 1 p.m. at EchoPark Stadium in Parker (co-sponsored by Douglas County School District).

There is no limit on the number of household electronics, including computers and all types of televisions. No appliances — refrigerators, microwaves, washing machines, dryers, etc. — will be accepted.

This is a drive-through event. Staff will unload your items while you remain in your car and will adhere to social distancing requirements. Please note for the 2020 events there will be no paper shredding services available.
