Payment Locations

Payments may be dropped off directly with the Treasurer’s Office, 100 Third Street in Castle Rock, Monday – Friday, between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Drop Boxes (3 locations within Douglas County)

  • Philip S. Miller Building – Drive-up tax payment box at the northwest curb in front of the Phillip S. Miller Building, 100 Third Street in Castle Rock.
  • Highlands Ranch Motor Vehicle Office – A Drop box is located OUTSIDE  of the Motor Vehicle Office at 2223 Wildcat Reserve Parkway, G-1 (main intersection is Highlands Ranch Parkway and Wildcat Reserve). Please put your payment and coupon in a sealed envelope with TREASURER’S OFFICE written on the outside of the envelope.  The drop boxes will be open between the hours of 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday only (Federal holidays excluded) and will not be available for use outside of the designated days/hours.
  • Park Meadows Center Motor Vehicle Office*- A Drop box is located OUTSIDE of the Motor Vehicle Office at 9350 Heritage Hills Circle, Lone Tree.
  • Please put your payment and coupon in a sealed envelope with TREASURER’S OFFICE written on the outside of the envelope.  The drop boxes will be open between the hours of 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday only (Federal holidays excluded) and will not be available for use outside of the designated days/hours. 

Tax payments are collected from the drop boxes at the end of each business day.

For end of year prepayments, office policy requires that the payments must be in the Treasurer’s Office on the last business day of the year.
