Do you enjoy testing your ability to shoot targets with accuracy and speed? Recreational sport shooting can be a fun and engaging activity, and the Southern Shooting Partnership invites you to join the conversation about the future of the sport during the next stop on its listening tour on January 24.
The Southern Shooting Partnership is a group of counties, state and federal agencies and public utilities working to develop safe, recreational sport shooting facilities in the Pikes Peak region. The Partnership works together and with public input to find viable locations for recreational sport shooting facilities throughout the southern Front Range and develops information and education programs that promote safe and responsible shooting.
The public is invited to share input on these topics and more during the next stop on the Partnership’s listening tour, held on January 24 from 5-7 p.m.at the Philip S. Miller Building, 100 Third Street in Castle Rock.
During the listening tour which kicked off in December, 2018, the public has provided input on topics such as the creation of a public shooting range at the Ramah State Wildlife Area in northeastern El Paso County. During the remainder of the tour, the Partnership will continue to host public meetings to engage sportsman groups, neighbors, outdoor enthusiasts and others in discussions that direct the growth of the sport.
