In observance of the Independence Day national holiday, all Douglas County Government offices will be closed Friday, July 4. Offices will reopen on Monday, July 7, for normal business. Many County services are available 24/7 by visiting online services. License plate renewal is available online or at kiosks located throughout the County and state.
There is a statutory eight-day period following Election Day to allow for electors to cure a signature discrepancy or missing signature; to provide missing ID for a mail or provisional ballot; and for ballots cast by military and overseas citizens to be received. Results are not official until Board of Canvass certification scheduled for July 8.

21 Ballot Drop Box locations across Douglas County will be open for the June 24, 2025, Douglas County Home Rule Charter Special Election. Each secure Ballot Drop Box location is under 24-hour video surveillance.
