In observance of Christmas, all Douglas County offices will close at noon on Wednesday, Dec. 24, and will be closed for the entire day on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2025. Offices will reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 26, for normal business. Many County services are available 24/7 by visiting online services.

In 2024, the Northwest Douglas County Chamber and EDC merged with the Douglas County Economic Development Collaborative to form the Douglas County Economic Development Corporation.

Douglas County offers incentives on a case-by-case basis and requires approval by the Board of County Commissioners. The incentive program is facilitated by the Douglas County Economic Development Corporation.
Other incentives may be available through the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), such as performance-based incentive payments to qualifying companies. This may include state income tax credits, sales and use tax exemptions, and customized job-training grants. OEDIT also provides financing tools for businesses.
