By order of Sheriff Darren Weekly, Stage 1 Fire Restrictions are in place for unincorporated areas of Douglas County.  Ordinance No. O-012-004 restricts open fires, open burning, and the use of fireworks in the unincorporated areas of Douglas County.

In observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. federal holiday, all Douglas County Government offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 19.  Offices will reopen at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 20, for normal business. Many County services are available 24/7 by visiting online services.

Quarterly Reports

Business decisions are often made by analyzing and evaluating data.  The Department of Community Development provides a compilation of demographic data and statistics from county, state, and federal sources covering population, housing, and economic topics.  Utilize the resources and tools available through Douglas County’s open data services to chart, graph, visualize and create data views specific to your needs.  The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Division develops and produces a wide range of standard maps for transportation, land use, political, geologic, and other informational purposes.  The Quarterly Economic Indicators Report provides data on employment, unemployment, retail trade, residential and commercial real estate, foreclosures, building permits, and non-residential development activity.
