Are you a passionate and community-minded leader? Your enthusiasm and expertise are needed to help guide the Board of Directors for The Douglas County Foundation, an independent charitable organization created to support the health, safety, and resilience of Douglas County.

The Douglas County Foundation receives, manages, and distributes charitable resources to address emergency needs and strengthen the community’s well-being. The Foundation provides timely financial support in response to emergencies and community crises and partners with local nonprofit organizations to address critical challenges facing Douglas County.

Board members will be appointed by the Board of Douglas County Commissioners to play a foundational role in shaping the organization’s strategic direction, governance framework, fundraising strategy, and community partnerships. This is a unique opportunity to support neighbors in times of crisis and strengthen the long-term resilience of our community.

Ideal candidates will bring expertise in areas such as nonprofit leadership, finance, law, philanthropy, emergency management, health and human services, business, or community advocacy. A strong commitment to public service and the well-being of Douglas County residents is essential.
