Closure week of Feb. 13 part of ongoing US 85 widening project
Incoming weather has postponed this planned closure. Watch for updates.
If your commute or errands take you to the west side of Highlands Ranch, watch for the closure of Brandon Drive as part of US 85 construction the week of Feb. 13.
To safely remove and replace an underground utility line, a full closure of Brandon Drive at US 85 will occur from 6 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, until 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17.
- To access Brandon Drive from US 85: motorists will continue south on US 85 to N Dumont Way and turn west. Brandon Drive can be accessed to the north via Mead Way or N Dumont Way.
- To access US 85 from Brandon Drive: motorists will turn south on Mead Way to N Dumont Way or turn south on N Dumont Way and proceed east to the traffic signal to access US 85.

This project is Douglas County’s largest transportation project to date. It will improve safety, mobility and traffic operations through this important regional corridor. Project partners include CDOT, the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG), the Federal Highway Administration, Highlands Ranch Metro District, and Chatfield Basin Developers. Construction is expected to be completed in 2025.
