Douglas County Commissioner and Board Chair Abe Laydon was accepted to Harvard Kennedy School’s Senior Executives in State and Local Government program, a three-week interactive and intensive public policy and leadership program at Harvard University.

“As elected officials, we work for you,” Laydon said. “As we continue to confront challenging times together, it’s important for your leaders to keep developing our skill set and improving. I’m grateful for this exceptional opportunity to learn from the world’s top local government and leadership experts.”

The program is designed to be interactive and an opportunity for leaders to raise difficult issues in ways that encourage productive conversations. Classroom lessons are applied in real-time and use real-life examples, providing fresh insights to a diverse set of public policy, management and leadership issues.

Laydon will participate in the program June 5-23. Learn more about the program online.
